The link between Tarkan and the famous snack brand Doritos is a significant example of how the Megastar was able to attract prominent brands from the very beginning of his career, and how his influence has endured over time, leading to two distinct yet meaningful collaborations.

The First Collaborations: Doritos Panço (1994)
One of his first and most iconic advertising collaborations dates back to 1994 with Doritos Panço. This commercial, produced early in his career when Doritos entered the Turkish market through the acquisition of Panço, demonstrates how his influence was already recognized by brands in the early days.
The Return: “Where there is Doritos, there is music!” (2008)
Tarkan’s and Doritos’ paths crossed again after 13 years. In the summer of 2008, Doritos, a brand known for launching advertising campaigns with entertainment stars to boost sales, collaborated once again with Tarkan for its campaign “Where there is Doritos, there is music!”
3. Details of the 2008 Campaign and Impact
Launch: The campaign was officially launched on the evening of Thursday, May 15, 2008, at the Discorium. The promotion included Tarkan’s performance of three songs and the announcement of the cities that would host the Doritos Tarkan concert series.
Mechanism: Fans could participate and obtain a ticket for the concerts – which began in Bursa in hot August and concluded in Istanbul – by collecting 10 points from Doritos packets. This successful partnership merged the excitement for Tarkan’s music with the targeted promotion of the brand.
